Chocolate Bark

… Coz, love is in the air!

Chocolate is an awesome way to someone’s heart, and chocolate combined with nuts is like staying there forever. Here is an easy-peasy sweet treat for your valentine… the Chocolate Bark.

This is such a simple, yet fancy dessert that can be made effortlessly by anyone. You just need to spread the melted chocolate, sprinkle some nuts and of course little love too. Done, done, done!

Absolutely, no measurements required. Play with the toppings of your choice like almonds, pistachios, cashews, raisins, dried apricots, dried cranberries, flaked/shredded coconut, wafers, crushed oreos… what not!

Caution: Do not make ahead of time, you can’t resist yourself.

Ingredients
Dark chocolate
Dried fruit and nuts of your choice (I used pistachio, almonds)
Candies fruits of your choice (I used tutti frutti)

Method
  • Melt the dark chocolate in a double-boiler or a microwave.
  • Lay a sheet of wax paper on top of a working surface. Pour melted dark chocolate in the middle of the wax paper and spread chocolate out.
  • Sprinkle as much or as little dried fruit and nuts on top.
  • Refrigerate for 1-2 hrs or until the chocolate is completely hardened
  • Remove from refrigerator and break into pieces
  • Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator
Note: Roast the nuts for crunchiness and nice aroma
